She holds a degree in Addiction Counseling from Capella University and is Board Certified in Kentucky. With a love to work with and help those who struggle with addiction, Melissa was drawn to be a part of the Compass team because of their desire to have an all-inclusive practice that prioritizes mental health care. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, she focuses her work on those that need guidance with addiction and mental health needs. Her goal is to support the patient in personal growth to allow them to find strength and empowerment. She believes in a space where the patient is free to express any thoughts or emotions without the risk of judgment. Melissa believes that each patient is unique and therefore should be treated as such. She promotes person-centered care with each patient, as well as an integrative approach to counseling to meet the patient where they are.
